Abstract	This is the second class taught by Paula Gunn Allen on ‘writing the sacred.’ She talks at length about how one can commune with nature and asserts that trees, rocks, flowers, etc. have a lot to say. Allen discusses the interconnection between people and their surroundings. Students share experiences of their writing assignment: to go in the land and write ‘her,’ and then they read their work.
